Technical imagery for the launch stage

The 3D visual-effects work for the Cavan Xinghai heavy truck was used at Foton’s brand day and new-product launch. Vehicle structure, power systems and energy replenishment form the subject of the multi-scene imagery and animation. The studio produced the 3D visual-effects work. Production excerpts, structural renders and event photographs show how the 3D content was applied.

Energy replenishment in its operating environment

Charging and hydrogen-refuelling scenes place the truck in a grounded spatial setting. The station, road, canopy and surroundings frame the vehicle, while materials and daylight support recognition. These environment shots establish context; the structural imagery that follows reveals systems concealed by the body.

BEV: battery, drive & thermal management

The battery-electric imagery begins with the chassis battery layout, then focuses on the drive axle and thermal-management system. A transparent body retains the vehicle as a reference, while opaque components preserve their materials and outlines. Wider views explain placement; closer views reveal structure. Each change in viewpoint supports understanding.

GH2: the whole vehicle and its core systems

The gaseous-hydrogen imagery covers the fuel cell, electric drive axle and thermal management. A subdued vehicle body brings the key systems forward. Local detail alternates with whole-vehicle transparency, while multiple views clarify spatial relationships and preserve a readable hierarchy on stage.

LH2: from components to spatial relationships

The liquid-hydrogen imagery focuses on the storage tank and thermal management. Whole-vehicle placement, pipe relationships and local detail extend the presentation beyond isolated parts. The contrast between a transparent body and solid components makes the systems visible without losing their place within the truck.

Frame, suspension & electric drive assembly

Colour coding separates areas of the body frame, while the air suspension and V7 electric drive assembly retain solid surfaces. Each treatment serves a different explanation: the frame communicates composition and distribution; component views show form and installation relationships. A consistent 3D language connects them within the launch presentation.

From production imagery to the launch stage

Event photographs show the 3D content on the large stage screen. The wide display carries vehicle silhouettes, structural imagery and launch information, requiring clarity at a distance and a rhythm that supports the presentation. The photographs connect the production material with its final setting.

Design exploration: a BEV animation study

This unused battery-electric animation is presented separately as a production study. It explores structural reveals, camera progression and the hierarchy of the systems, and is not part of the adopted final sequence.
